Lutheran Church Charities will be providing
            LCMS LERT (Lutheran Early Response Team) Basic Trining.

Where: Trinity Lutheran Church - Green Trails
             2701 Maple Ave.
             Lisle, IL 60532
When:  Registration will be from 5:00 p.m - 5:30 p.m.
             Training will be from 5:30 p.m - 9:00 p.m.
             (pizza dinner will be served from 5:00-5:30 p.m.)
Who:    Adults ages 18+
             Youth ages 14 - 17 (adult must be present)

In the chaos of disaster, it's important to stay focused on the task at hand. LCMS Lutheran Early Response Team (LERT) training will help you focus on the most important thing to remember as you prepare for or respond to a disaster in your community or beyond.

At the center of our LERT volunteer training is one thing: MERCY! Christ's mercy is the basis for everything we say and do. After a brief introduction regarding the goals and theological rationale of LCMS Disaster Response, the LERT volunteer training will address the following:

• Christian Care in times of disaster
• A ministry of presence
• The LERT program and how it works with other responders
• Introduction to disaster response
• LCC/NID disaster response and deployment protocol
• Service opportunities after a disaster and safety protocol

A registration cost of $35.00 for new LERT volunteers can be paid online with a credit card or by cash or check at check in for the event.

***Please complete the LCMS Lert registration by selecting the LCMS link provided in your confirmation email.
(Registering on this form allows the LCC to get the necessary amount
of training material ready for all participants. You will also be asked to
select your t-shirt size.)

***When you complete your registration and receive your confirmation number, you will be asked to fill out an online Liability&Medical Form for 2025. This form only needs to be completed once/year for adults.

Walk in registrations will be accepted the day of the training, but prefer advance registration if possible to assist host church and LCC staff in planning.
