Where: Trinity Kimberly Way (1101 Kimberly Way Lisle)

Who: Anyone in Grades K-4 - Invite your friends!

What: A one-week music camp where kids will learn songs that go along with this year's VBS theme: Keeping Cool When Things Get Hot. We will use song to learn Biblical ways to express and deal with our emotions.

We will practice songs Monday-Thursday (June 15-18) with a chance to perform for families on Friday (June 19). 

Lava Leaders Camp participants will also be invited to lead a time of song at Camp KidStreet (our version of Vacation Bible School) on Monday evenings in July (7/6, 7/13, 7/20 and 7/27). Worship will be from 6-6:20pm. However, we'd love for you to attend the entire evening from 5-8pm free of charge. The evening will included dinner, s'mores, games, crafts and a social time for parents. 

Lava Leaders Camp Cost: $40 per child.  Cost includes a t-shirt and daily snacks.  If this is a financial hardship for your family, please reach out to Jenny Keele. Scholarships are available.

About Our Instructors: 
Steve and Jane Tabisz have been part of the Music Ministry at Trinity Kimberly Way for decades. Steve currently serves as Worship Director, and Jane sings in the Celebration Choir.

Over the years, they have enjoyed working with countless Trinity young people, directing full productions of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Godspell, The Sound of Music, and Beauty and the Beast.

Steve served as Choir and Drama Director at Hinsdale Middle School for more than 30 years and has led Summer Musical Theatre workshops in both Hinsdale and Wheaton. Jane holds a degree in Musical Theater and spent many years performing professionally before beginning her career as an Events and Convention Manager.

Steve and Jane are excited to begin what they hope will become a new Trinity tradition — Summer musical experiences for kids and youth!
