For Me to Live Is Christ
Teacher: Nick Price Series: The Generosity of God Scripture: Philippians 1:12–26
What defines your life?
Most of us build our identity around accomplishments, relationships, success, security, or reputation. But what happens when those things are threatened or taken away?
In Philippians 1:12–26, the apostle Paul writes from prison and offers a radically different perspective. His circumstances are difficult. His future is uncertain. His reputation is under attack. Yet he remains full of hope because his life is anchored in something deeper. “For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”
In this message, we explore how God’s generosity:
- Reframes our circumstances
- Frees us from self-protection
- Gives us a life poured out for Christ and others
Paul’s words challenge us to ask an important question: What actually gives our lives meaning, security, and purpose?
